Explanation to the analysis forms
This page provides an explanation to each element of
the Institution form.
Each element are highlighted with bold text, while the explanation of the element
is written in plain text.
Institution specific
- ID: Unique identifier for each course
- Name of institution: ...which provides the course
- Country: Where the main office is situated
- Type of institution: Choose the one, which best fits your institution..
- Number of web courses: ...which the institution provide
- Total number of courses: If the institution provide other courses
than web courses.
Course specific
- Course title: The title of the course in plain text.
- Course URL: http://…
- Enrolment scale: Number of students participating
- Subject nature: Choose the one, which best fits your course.
- Target group:
- Primary / Secondary level: Courses for children and youth, up
to sixteen year (+/-)
- Undergraduate level: Courses intended for students who has not
yet taken their first degree.
- Graduate level: Courses intended for students who has taken their
first degree.
- Training level: Courses intended for students at technical colleges
- Professional development level: Students participating at a vocational
course
- Continuing education level: postgraduate course; refresher course
- Formal charachter
- Diploma course: Course which does not provide credits, but
where you get a diploma (school certificate)
- Credit course: Approved by the authorities to be a part of their
system of accreditation
- Vocational course: Craft training and similar.
- Informational course: A course which does not not lead to a diploma,
credits etc
- Start up flexibility: Choose the one, which best fits your course.
- Progress flexibility: Choose the one, which best fits your course.
E.g. individual if there are no assessments at a given date to complete. (Exams
are not included.).
