Tools for analysis of course design

We have developed two forms that we shall use to analyze the course design. We shall analyze approximately 50-100 courses and spend about one hour on each course. During this time we will try to identify elements represented in the course.

The first form, the Institution form, will be used to register information about the institution and the course they provide. This information will be of a general character, such as name of institution, type of institution etc.

The second, the Course form, will be used to register information about design and technology elements that are present in the course and which conduct with our model. This form consists of 40+ checkboxes and covers following topics:

If a checkbox is checked, it indicates that we found the element represented in the course, if not checked, it indicates that we could not find the specific element. This does not necessarily mean that the element is not represented in the course, but during the time available we could not find it.
