The NKI GroupNKI is one of the largest non-governmental educational institutions in Northern Europe. The NKI Group comprises NKI Distance Education, The Norwegian School of Information Technology (NITH), The Business Training Centre (NA) and NKI Publishing House. There are district offices in 15 other Norwegian towns. Altogether the NKI Group has each year a total of around 6000 full-time and 25000 part-time students. The Norwegian School of Information TechnologyThe Norwegian School of Information Technology was originally founded in 1964 as NKI College of Engineering, but has since specialized in information technology. In addition to its regular two- and three-year programmes for full-time students, it offers three one-year, part-time programmes in information processing. The college has approximately 2500 students. The Business Training Centre (NA)The Business Training Centre offers one-year, full-time training programmes. In addition it offers flexible options for further and on-the job training. 7000 students throughout the country participate annually in various courses arranged by the Business Training Centre. NKI Publishing HouseNKI Publishing House, which was founded in 1970, develops teaching materials for upper secondary schools and colleges of higher education, with special emphasis on vocational subjects. They also specialize in teaching materials for the trafikk and transport sectors. |
